Credited with the rise and fall of an industry, the Atari 2600 console brought the video game system into the home. It’s also another testament to the versatility and market dominance the MOS 6502 line of processors had.
If I recall correctly the 2600 (or VCS as it was called before 1982) was the first home video game system I saw, that was probably in 1982 or ’83. It just took me nearly 35 years to finally get one.
